The Next Generation Placental Membrane Allograft for Hospital Use

Vialize, a lyophilized dehydrated complete human placental membrane (dCHPM) allograft, is designed for use as a wound covering or barrier membrane. Unlike many other placental allografts that typically contain one or two layers of the placental membrane, Vialize retains all three layers of the membrane using the patented Clearify® technology.1 Vialize allografts are never delaminated allowing for optimal preservation of the 3D architecture of the native tissue.

4x thicker, 6x more growth factors, 4x more protein than the competitor graft1,2

Case Reports

The Use of a Lyophilized dCHPM Allograft for Wound Bed Preparation in a Trauma Induced Wound

A healthy 32-year-old male presented with severe left foot injury following a car accident. The wound continued to present complications six weeks after an initial first ray amputation. Lyophilized dCHPM was placed one week prior to a split thickness skin graft (STSG). Within one week the granulation tissue increased from 40% to 90% wound bed coverage, and the STSG had fully taken within 3 weeks.

Surgical Repair of Complete Achilles Rupture with Placement of Lyophilized dCHPM Allograft

A 27-year-old female presented with a complete Achilles rupture and underwent surgical repair with the use of lyophilized dCHPM as a barrier membrane. After six weeks, the patient weaned out of the Achilles walking boot, progressed in therapy, and gradually returned to activities without pain.

Robotic Laparoscopic Myomectomy with Placement of Lyophilized dCHPM Allograft

A 46-year-old female underwent a myomectomy with the placement of lyophilized dCHPM after being diagnosed with multiple fibroids. The lyophilized dCHPM was easily placed through the robotic port and onto the uterine surface. The patient was able to return to normal activities with routine follow up after eight weeks.
