Redefining Regenerative Medicine

The healing cascade is a complex and dynamic series of phases that has been studied in depth and characterized into three general phases: inflammation, proliferation, and maturation. During these stages, signaling proteins and local cells work to repair the injured tissue back to its original form. The problem? The healing process, like many functions of the body, is not perfect. Scars, for example, are a visual representation of how a wound is unable to fully return to its original form and function. Even when a scar appears to have dissipated, the ‘new’ tissue formed is dissimilar and more vulnerable than the original tissue.

What’s the point?

In an ideal world, tissue would be restored perfectly back to its inherent function and structure. This notion of optimized healing is the foundation for StimLabs’ conception. StimLabs believes in optimizing the healing cascade by advancing research and development within regenerative medicine.

Back up. What is regenerative medicine?

stimLabs BELIEVES THe KEY TO OPTIMIZED HEALING IS AT THE INtersection of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and tissue banking. 

Regenerative medicine is a broad research and translational field that includes tissue engineering but also incorporates research on self-healing, whereby the body uses its own system, sometimes with the assistance from external biological materials to recreate cells and rebuild tissues.1 As this field continues to evolve we have directed the short and long term strategic goals for StimLabs around this basic principle of influencing the healing cascade which aligns with the core fundamentals of regenerative medicine. Current technologies in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and tissue banking provide useful products contributing to these fundamentals. StimLabs believes the key to optimized healing is at the intersection of these three industries.

Built with our vision in mind, StimLabs was not created to be just a tissue company. We are assembled as a regenerative medicine company. All past decisions were based solely off this idea. Our staff, our quality system, and our physical work space were all selected meticulously with the future in mind. We are not here just to turn a profit; we are here to make a long-term impact on regenerative medicine.

In the first steps towards this vision, StimLabs has launched a suite of next-generation amniotic-derived products. This is a generalized approach to broadly influence healing using a naturally-derived therapeutic source. The success of these initial offerings has created a foundation on which StimLabs will continue building the future of regenerative medicine. In this future, StimLabs will increase product complexity and move towards a more targeted approach to influence healing.

During this journey, StimLabs vows to always adhere to these three notions:

StimLabs is focused on creating an impact. In order to do so, it’s important our products are applicable and available to the large-majority of patients. Our products will always be developed with the intention of broad application.

II. Ease of Use

We understand the value of developing a technology that is easy to use. We know that if it’s not easy to use, then it won’t be used. Our technologies will always be thoughtfully constructed with application in mind.

III. Effectiveness

Our desire is to improve the standard of care by producing safe and effective products. StimLabs will always aim to generate products that yield optimum results.
Utilizing these three concepts, we’ve set our sights on our main aspiration: improving patient outcomes. We look forward to serving the community and continuing the evolution of regenerative products.
