Vialize continues to be an ideal barrier and wound covering product for my procedures. While I have experience with various placental membrane allografts, none have demonstrated the remarkable handling capabilities that Vialize offers. Vialize consistently has a positive overall impact on my procedures. Moving forward, Vialize will remain an integral tool in my practice.

As a general surgeon who specializes in spinal access, I consistently see how previous surgeries can impact my work and the patient’s outcome. Throughout my training and practice, there has been an emphasis on the importance of using a barrier to separate tissue planes. For the last 5 years, I have been utilizing a translucent dCHPM allograft as a barrier in spinal fusion surgeries. This allograft has a compact format for a lower profile placement, is easy to handle, and takes very little time to apply. I’ve seen a notable difference in my surgical outcomes, both post-operatively and in instances of re-operation. I would highly recommend dCHPM allografts to my fellow surgeons.

When I consider how many of my patients undergo multiple Mohs procedures, it’s important to recognize how disruptive some reconstruction techniques can be to their daily life. I have extensive experience using Revita and other dCHPM configurations on Mohs defects that would otherwise require complex flap reconstructions. I’m consistently satisfied with my outcomes when using the dCHPM allografts, and my patients appreciate the ease of post-op care compared to that of complex Mohs reconstructions.
